“Our Lady of the Angels, Pray For Us”

In a world full of evil, righteousness will always prevail, with an energy so powerful, nothing can withstand its force. Strong enough to blast a hole through the Universe from an infinite point.
This painting was started in 2022, after I had my near death experience in late 2021. It took me some time to recover and get back to painting.
I was calm, even in the ambulance ride to the hospital, because I had made my peace.
Even though I didn’t believe in religion, I have always believed in a Creator that is bigger than any of the greatest minds could ever understand.
But when you were raised in a Catholic Church, you’ll say the Lord’s Prayer when you are in a state of dying, just in case you were wrong!

It started around 3am, somehow I made it to the living room, I hit the floor, looked up at the two house plants that were sitting on both ends of the counter top bar.
(Depicted in the left-center,) In the dark, for a few seconds, the tall plants looked like two shrouded demons waiting for me to cross over. When I returned home from the hospital a few days later, the plants had died.
Finding clarity and salvation in the moment of death is about the luckiest way to die. Knowing you have been giving another chance is the luckiest way to be born again, in spirituality. The mission, the cross and the apparition image represents salvation.
